Classic Disney Films

Do You Like Classic Disney Films? Here Are Two to Enjoy.

Is watching movies one of your favorite things to do? Do you remember when the cartoons of the 90’s were fun to watch? I don’t think that they make cartoons as good as back then. We go back to the 90’s to explore some of the classic Disney films, A Goofy Movie and An Extremely Goofy Movie.

Watching these gave me a great feeling of nostalgia, as I remember how life was like before the pressures of adulting. As a kid, I got these movies on VHS and I called this movie ‘A Goopy Mobie’ when I was a kid.

These movies are silly and fun to watch and the whole family will love them.

A Goofy Movie

Synopsis

On the last day of school, Max gets in trouble and Goofy was told by the principle that he needs to reevaluate his parenting method or Max is going to end up in the electric chair.

In an effort to control the situation, Goofy comes up with this idea to takClassic Disney Filmse Max camping in Idaho. Max doesn’t want to go because he has a date with his crush Roaxxne for the viewing of the Power Line concert on tv, but he is basically forced to go on a camping trip with his father and has to break up his date with Roxanne.

Feeling horrible about cancelling his date, Max tells Roxanne that he is going to LA to the Power Line concert. Oh-oh, Max is caught up in a lie, how will he get out of this situation? Will Goofy become closer to his son, who is drifting away? Will Max and his teammates be able to dethrone the gammas?

Review

Ok, I will tell you that people may not like this movie like they like modern movies, but it was one of my favorite childhood movies. Goofy and Max did record time driving cross country…LOL.

I give this movie a 10 out of 10.

In case you didn’t know, this movie is based on, A Goof Troop, one of my favorite cartoon shows of the 90’s. I would suggest you watch, A Goof Troop, on Disney+.

In this video below, you will see Easter eggs you may have missed while watching this movie.

An Extremely Goofy Movie

Synopsis

Max, PJ, and Bobby are going to college and looking forward to competing in the X-Games. Although, Goofy is taking it hard and at work one day he is caught daydreaClassic Disney Filmsming, kind of like what I did in school on most days, and everything goes downhill. After creating an explosion, he is fired.

At college, Max is recruited to the Gammas by legendary Bradley Uppercrust III. However, after hearing that he is the only one being recruited and not PJ and Bobby, he declines. But, Upercreast isn’t thrilled that Max declines, so he challenges his crew in the X-Games.

Meanwhile, Goofy is now unemployed and has to go back to college so that he can get a job. Goofy and Max are not classmates to Max’s horror. Who would want to be classmates with their day? How embarrassing.

Unfortunately, Goofy interferes with Max college life and further embarasses him. This goes too far when Goofy tells Max about his new girlfriend during Max’s practice. Because of this Goofy realizes that he likes skateboarding and asks Max if he can be a part of his team. Goofy just wants to be close to his son, but he comes across as smothering.

Since Max doesn’t want his dad to be on his team, he recommends that he joins the Gammas. So, when the X-Games event comes, it’s father against son. Who will win in this showdown?

Will Max and his team beat the Gammas? What will happen with Goofy? Find out in this movie.

Review

I liked the first movie better, but this movie is worth watching. It does have some silliness in it that your kids are sure to enjoy.

This is a fun movie that you should see, but the newer Disney movies are far better. This movie came out in the year 2000, and the quality of movies have gotten a lot better.

Conclusion

It was the 90’s so of course a lot of the movies were not as great as modern movies, but these movies are great if you want to feel nostalgic.

if you liked this post, you will love my post about the Cars Franchise.

Comment below to let me know your thoughts about these moves. What are your favorite characters? Of these two movies, what is your favorite and why?

  1. Great !, I am a big Goofy fan and the material you recommend is great, everyone should give themselves the opportunity to see this pair of movies from the 90’s, as you say, before it was not as common high quality movies as There are now, but they will definitely spend a moment full of laughter and very pleasant. It is an excellent article.

  2. Hi,
Thank you very kindly for bringing back memories of Goofy and his escapades of a bygone era. Goofy was always a favourite in how he managed to get everything alright in the end in a lopsided and roundabout way. His good humour always when he was doing all these things was infectious  and a very good role model to emulate to have ones chin up while performing tasks and keep that smile no matter the circumstances. The deal you present appears extremely good value for an enthusiast because as you say because of the age of the productions they are not as well produced as now for the technology improvements. Only one cannot go wrong for 4 of these classics for $1 appears am extremely good value deal. Thank you again for bringing these timeless classics back to our attention.

  3. I like those older movies from the 90s and I love Disney movies! They always have this feel good factor. You’re just happy after watching a Disney movie. I’ve seen many Disney films – I really love the Jungle Book – but I have not seen these two Goofy movies. I will check them out, now we have so much free time … 😉 Are they on Netflix?

  4. It seems like you are a Goofy fan. Personally, my children like any Disney movie. Now that we have Disney plus we have access to a whole host of movies that have Goofy in them. Now we will have to go look for these two movies that you’re recommending. Even though they are older movies, cartoons are always fun to watch. No matter what our age.

  5. I grew up with Disney and his movies, although when I was a kid, we had to go to the theater to watch them.  My kids also grew up with them but we were able to watch them at home, albeit on VHS.  Goofy has always been a favorite of mine.  The two Goofy movies look like fun.  I will be sure to watch them with my grandson.  Thanks for shedding light on this. Keep up the good work.  Take care.

  6. I have a Disney nut in my home.  My 21 year old daughter is a 3rd year musical theatre student and since she could talk she has been a Disney nut!  She knows the whole Disney story and I mean the Walt Disney story. She is a fan of most if not all of the movies, she has the Disney streaming subscription in our house, but above all she adores the originals Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto.

We have quite a collection of Disney animated originals in our house and these two are among them, very funny and entertaining and recommended for those who may not have yet seen them….where have you been LoL.

    Great post, thanks

  15. Hi Jordan! In both movies Goofy is trying to get close to his son and that is a lesson we didn’t see when we where kids but now that we’re parents we totally resound with it.

I also miss the cartoons of the 90s and wished the ones they create today where that engaging. Thank you very much for reviewing these two films. We need quite a few these days as we’re staying all at home.
